Oh. I have so many questions about that photo. Especially given a big turning radius and a side-door loading process....

An auto transporter for your trouble...

BTW, being bored out of my mind here, I’ve indulged in watching Grand Prix again— and the Ferrari Team car transporter makes a brief appearance. That was the golden age.

I think the method was “very carefully” beyond that I don’t know.

Grand Prix is worth it for the sound alone.

Where is the rest of the caravan of transporters, hospitality setups, crew haulers, driver’s mega buses, and the lacky to carry the driver’s helmet?????

A storyline, interesting characters, plot development, action, fewer 45 minute scenes shot in a cafeteria...

It’s basically the OPPOSITE of LeM ans, The Paint Drying Experience.

It does raise some interesting questions, especially with a tail dragger. There are plenty of photos of jeeps being loaded into C-46s and C-47s, and it looks like they all started out with the ramps at an angle to the a/c. But you wouldn’t worry about scratching a jeep.
